Midoriya Izuku is one of the main characters in Boku no Hero Academia. He is a
student in U.A. High School and has codename “Deku”.
Biography
Izuku’s birthday is July 15th, it’s mean his zodiac sign is Cancer. His blood type is “O”, it’s same with Shouto and Eijirou. His height is 166 cm and his favorite thing is katsudon.
The voice actor from Izuku is Yamashita
Daiki. He is also became the voice actor for Souta from Re:Creators and Sakamichi from Yowamushi
Pedal. While the English voice
actor is Justin Briner who have the same voice with Ichirou from Death
March and Mikaela from Owari no Seraph.
Background
Izuku’s Quirk
is One For All, inherited from All Might. His Quirk gives him access to
stockpiled power, granting him superhuman strength and greatly
enhanced agility and mobility by spreading his power through his body.
When he was young, Izuku was
Quirkless. This thing led him to be
constantly bullied and ridiculed by his childhood friend. Katsuki is also one
of Izuku’s childhood friend. But even so, Izuku still kept aiming to be a hero,
because he believe if everyone can be a hero even without Quirk. All Might who
see Izuku’s persistance and dare to help someone even without Quirk, reminding
him what it means to be a hero and offered him the chance to be a hero by
inherit One For All to Izuku.Personality
Izuku is a diligent and strong-willed boy. His dream of becoming a hero
drove him to develop a habit of writing down notes about everything he knows in
regards to their Quirks. Because of this practice, Izuku has developed a great
analytical mind and is easily able to form complex battle plans in a matter of
seconds.
Izuku is also a caring person and will never hesitate to rescue someone in
danger, even if he knows that he is not strong enough to do it. Despite it all,
Izuku is a polite boy, sometimes he can be very timid.

- Midoriya Izuku’s name is a combination from Midoriya (緑谷) meaning “green and valley” and Izuku (出久) meaning “coming out and long time”.
- Izuku ranked 1st in the first popularity poll, then he ranked 2nd in the second popularity poll and he ranked 2nd again in the third popularity poll.
- Izuku was first planned as an adult, as seen in the one-shot “My Hero”.
- Izuku shares the same birthday with Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach and has a similar personality to Kagari Akko from Little Witch Academia.
- In the early designs concept for Izuku, Izuku was known as “Akatani Mikumo”. He had a longer and curlier hairdo, with bangs blocking one of
his eyes.
